Let's hear it for the boy!!
YAY!! Finally, a book devoted entirely to helping moms of boys that are potty training!! This book is fabulous! It's a quick, easy read pointing out practical solutions and common sense approaches to potty training boys. I would recommend it to everyone!! I read 15 books in preparation and this... -
Great practical book!
I read several books on potty training (incl. potty training in a day) and this one was by far the best one: easy to read, practical tips throughout. I just love the approach of training in sessions, it totally worked for my little guy! And it was easy to accomplish, no power struggle at all -- I...

Headstart programs provide valuable services
The women are teachers at Moncton Headstart and lead the youngest groups of children of the early childhood education program.
As you can imagine, every day is a new discovery for these economically disadvantaged kids and their devoted teachers.
"We go along with what they're playing so if they're making make believe tea and cookies, we'll go and have a taste," Giddings said yesterday during the open house held at the Headstart building. "Pretending is huge at this age and they may not get that chance at home."
The two-year-olds' classroom looks much like a kindergarten space, with colourful finger paintings on the walls, a sandbox, a dress-up station, and each child has a cubby in the hallway, with his or her name and picture posted on top of it. The teachers don't take control entirely: they follow up on the children's ideas and what interests them.
Each teacher has groups of seven children, one coming in the morning and one in the afternoon. Pyke says it's a great experience for these children, who without this special opportunity, would be behind the children when beginning public school.
Boys Who Potty Train Earlier Than 3 Years Old - Toddler on The ...
Up until my youngest daughter potty trained my experience had been my son was 10 times easier to train then my girls.
He was potty trained just before turning 2 1/2. It was a piece of cake compared to my girls. My oldest daughter was 3 years, 2 months when she potty trained and my middle daughter was 3 years, 8 months.
My youngest daughter was probably the easiest. I waited until she was 2 1/2 to really even mention the potty and then about a month after she turned 2 1/2 I asked her if she wanted to be a big girl. She said yes, we tossed the diapers/pull-ups and within days she was using the potty all the time. That was last November.
My son took a little longer but once I told my husband to show him how (standing up) he was peeing in the potty all the time a couple days later and fully day trained a week later. He wet the bed until he was 7, though (he's 8 now and has the occasional accident).
Both of my boys did. I was pregnant with my 2nd and I started my oldest at 16 months and at 17 months he was peeing in the potty and wearing pull-ups. by 2 he was pooping in the potty and by 3 he was going through the night with no diaper. My 2nd boy was just as early since he saw his big brother do it. I had no problems with it. They had there good days and bad days but I was very consistent with them and it paid off. I now have a baby girl and I am hoping she will do great too!! I have a while for her but I will do the same with her as I did with my boys. I do know that even though your kids are potty trained there will always be a time where you might have to go back-both of my boys had the stomach flu at 3 and 4 years of age and I had to buy diapers for them-they could not control there bowels. Even now at the ages of 7 and 6 there could be a time where they might pee themselves, they haven't but you have to be prepared for theses things. Potty training is a hard milestone and it depends on your child-when you see the signs, go for it!

So now both kids are loving their two-wheelers and we are able to bike as a family. It's funny the milestones that mark time when you are a parent—first steps, potty training, first day of school and four bikes hanging off the back of your car.Savannah Morning News - Jan 01, 1970
The flourish was the potty praising a little boy who was no longer in ear shot. In a weird way, it still spells my impending doom. Potty training is going to suck out loud. More free-range poo is not something I need in my life.StarPhoenix - Jan 01, 1970
The least amount of stress possible is my number one goal with potty training." - Karen MackieDumont "If children begin to show signs of readiness, then you could certainly start. The key is not to make it a battle and let them lead the way.ChicagoNow - Jan 01, 1970
I know I said I was going to opt out of potty training. I am still taking a relaxed approach to the whole thing. BUT! That was before I saw that the geniuses at Signing Time have produced a Potty Time video!
